The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has announced upcoming night work that may throw a wrench into your usual drive. For anyone who frequents I-10 Westbound or the I-210 on-ramp, you'll want to pay close attention to the scheduled lane and ramp closures kicking off next week.
According to the official release, starting Monday, at 8 p.m. through Tuesday until 5 a.m., both the right lane and shoulder of I-10 WB, alongside the I-210 on-ramp from I-10 WB (Exit 25), will be off-limits to traffic. And it's not just a lane closure—the full on-ramp will be closed to drivers.
If you're one of the motorists needing to get onto I-210 from I-10 WB during these hours, don't fret—there is a detour in place. Your best bet will be to continue along I-10 WB to Exit 23 (LA 108), roll southbound on LA 108, and then catch the subsequent exit to merge onto I-10 Eastbound. From there, you'll be able to hop onto I-210 using the Exit 25 on-ramp from I-10 EB. Make note of these changes and plan accordingly to avoid any unexpected delays in your nighttime commutes.
