A tragic incident unfolded in Lakeside as Sheriff's deputies responded to an emergency involving a toddler yesterday. According to the San Diego County Sheriff's Office, officers received a distress call at about 8:53 p.m. from a residence on the 11600 block of Camino Del Tierra, where they found the child not breathing.
Upon arrival, deputies from the Lakeside substation, alongside paramedics from the Lakeside Fire Department, attempted to resuscitate the young child, but despite the immediate life-saving efforts, the situation's gravity only intensified as the toddler was quickly transported to a local hospital, and their, embraced by sterility and urgency, later died. The San Diego Sheriff's Department revealed that detectives are actively investigating, collecting evidence, and talking to witnesses to unravel the circumstances that led to the child's untimely demise.
