Motorists planning to travel through Lapalco Boulevard this Friday should anticipate a bit of a squeeze. A road closure advisory has been issued for the left westbound lane at 6830 Lapalco Boulevard, effective from the early hour of 6:30 a.m. until the clock strikes 4:30 p.m. According to the Jefferson Parish's official alert, the center lane will not be spared from the shutdown; it's set to close a tad later at 8:30 a.m. and will follow suit with the same afternoon reopening schedule.

For drivers less fond of traffic snarls, alternate routes are worth considering. The closures are expected to work their magic on a damaged utility patch that's been calling for a fix. With cones set and workers ready, Jefferson Parish is aiming for a one-day turnaround on March 28.
