Fort Lauderdale will experience travel disruptions as road work begins on Las Olas Blvd. Officials announced that major asphalt renovations will start on Monday next week and continue until March 28. According to a release from the City of Fort Lauderdale, the East Las Olas Blvd section between SE 6th Ave and SE 9th Ave will be closed from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. for asphalt removal and replacement.
The City of Fort Lauderdale has provided a detour route that directs traffic to use SE 6th Ave, SE 4th St, SE 2nd Ct, and SE 9th Ave to avoid the work area. The closures will only occur during work hours.
