On Wednesday, the Western Worcester County Major Crimes Task Force arrested two individuals on drug and firearm charges in Cherry Valley, Leicester, following a three-month investigation into the local drug trade. Both were arraigned at East Brookfield District Court and held without bail. Additional search warrants were executed on vehicles linked to the case.

The operation involved support from CEMLEC SWAT and K9 units from Leicester, Auburn, and the Massachusetts State Police. A third suspect, a 59-year-old man from New Braintree, will face charges for conspiracy to violate drug laws, with his arraignment scheduled for a later date.
