
A fatal shooting occurred last night in East Portland, leaving one man dead. Officers from the East Precinct were dispatched to the 3000 block of Southeast 136th Avenue after receiving reports of gunfire at around 10:15 p.m. Upon arrival, the male victim, who had sustained gunshot wounds, was found. Despite their efforts to quickly provide life-saving measures, the victim succumbed to his injuries at the scene, the Portland Police Bureau reported.
The Portland Police Bureau has initiated a homicide investigation, with detectives arriving on-site to take over. The authorities are seeking information and have urged anyone with knowledge of the incident to contact them immediately.
