
A fatal shooting on Chicago's West Side has claimed the life of a 45-year-old man, identified as Jamie Brown, who was parked in a vehicle on Thursday afternoon when the violent incident unfolded. According to the Chicago Sun-Times, the shooting occurred around 4:24 p.m. in the 4700 block of West Monroe Street, where Brown, a resident of the same block, was sitting in his car.
Two individuals in a truck pulled up alongside Brown's vehicle and opened fire, striking him in the head and body, the Cook County medical examiner’s office was the one who reported that Brown was transported to Mount Sinai Hospital the place where he was pronounced dead at 4:51 p.m., no suspects have been arrested in connection with the murder.
Chicago police are actively investigating the case, as the shooters who launched the fatal attack on Brown fled the scene and remain at large. The CBS News Chicago report highlights that Harrison Area detectives have taken up the case.
