A domestic altercation in West Palm Beach escalated into violence Friday night last week, culminating in gunshots and a 36-year-old man being hospitalized. According to CBS12, the incident took place around 9 p.m. near the 800 block of Village Blvd. The West Palm Beach Police Department responded to the scene after reports of gunfire.
Detectives determined that a verbal dispute escalated into an armed confrontation. The victim, who was shot, was taken to St. Mary Medical Center for treatment. The suspect was quickly arrested and charged with attempted first-degree murder with a deadly weapon, according to WPBF.
The suspect was apprehended without further incident and is currently being held by West Palm Beach police. The individual's identity has yet to be publicly released pending further investigation.
