On the heels of a concerted effort by local and federal law enforcement, a significant bust in Manchester has resulted in the arrest of 32-year-old Bedford man Jose Rodriguez Grau. Highlighting the collaborative nature of the investigation, Chief Peter Marr of the Manchester Police Department remarked in a Facebook post, "This case highlights the power of collaboration between local and federal agencies. Thanks to the hard work and team effort of everyone involved, we’ve taken dangerous drugs and firearms off the streets, making our community safer." This comment follows a joint operation involving the Manchester Police Department, the ATF's New Hampshire Violent Crime Task Force, and the DEA's Manchester District Office Group 2.
The cross-agency operation saw the Manchester Police SWAT Team execute a high-risk search warrant last Friday. Their intense preparation and collected might, undertook to secure the premises tied to Rodriguez Grau and his associate. According to a Facebook post by the Manchester NH Police, during the search, authorities discovered several firearms, multiple kilograms of what is believed to be cocaine, a substantial amount of ammunition, and US currency.
Rodriguez Grau now faces multiple charges, including Possession of a Controlled Drug (Cocaine), Possession of a Controlled Drug with Intent to Sell, Controlled Drug: Acts Prohibited, Felonious Use of a Firearm, and Felon in Possession of a Dangerous Weapon. The results of this investigation are clear markers of a serious attempt to cramp down on the intertwined threats of narcotics and illegal firearms infiltrating our communities.
