The Metropolitan Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting in Southeast Washington, DC. Officers responded to a call on Thursday, at 3:24 p.m. in the 2800 block of 1st Street, Southeast, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.
A 29-year-old man, Benjamin Mingo, was found with a gunshot wound and later pronounced dead. Police identified him as a resident of Northeast. The Metropolitan Police Department released a report on the incident.
The Metropolitan Police Department is seeking public assistance in an ongoing homicide investigation and is offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
