According to WSVN, the Miami Beach Police led the investigation after the package was found near the 1600 block of Lenox Court around 1 p.m. They worked with the Miami Dade Bomb Squad and the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office, which caused traffic delays and led to precautionary evacuations.

Miami Beach police stated that the building was evacuated as a precautionary measure, as Local 10 reports. The response lasted several hours to ensure public safety.

Residents and visitors in the area watched as a bomb squad robot was used to inspect a car near an apartment building. By evening, just before 6 p.m., officials announced the situation had been resolved.
