The Miami-Dade Parks Department will begin construction on a new splash pad and playground at North Trail Park, with a groundbreaking ceremony on Wednesday. The $4.1 million renovation started in January and is expected to be completed by January 2026, as per the Miami-Dade County release.
Located at 780 NW 127th Ave, the park will receive several upgrades, including a nature-based playground, a fenced splash pad that reuses water, and a basketball court with energy-efficient lighting. These improvements aim to enhance recreational facilities while following conservation guidelines.
Miami-Dade County Commissioner Juan Carlos Bermudez and Miami-Dade Parks Director Maria I. Nardi will attend the ceremony to discuss the positive impact of the renovations. The renovation will also include two new drinking fountains and bleachers for the basketball court. Landscaping will be added to create a natural canopy around the playground and splash pad.
