The Miami Gardens Police Department is searching for a suspect involved in a violent attack on a senior citizen, captured on surveillance footage outside Price Choice Supermarket. The incident occurred this past Saturday at 18351 NW 27th Ave., as reported by Local 10. The footage shows a man in a grey hoodie approaching the 67-year-old victim, Carlton Samuels, and striking him in the face before fleeing.

According to WSVN, Samuels, an employee at the supermarket, was collecting shopping carts when the attack took place. The assailant punched him unexpectedly, sending Samuels to the ground. Despite recognizing the attacker as a frequent customer, Samuels said he did not understand the motive behind the assault. He later identified the attacker in a "Need to Identify" poster at the store. Samuels has returned to work and expressed a desire for the suspect to be caught.

Authorities are asking for the public's help in locating the suspect. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Miami Gardens Police at 305-474-6473 or Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS. A $5,000 reward may be offered for tips leading to an arrest. Samuels told WSVN, "I know him. Every time he comes here, I know him. He comes here often."

The Miami Gardens Police Department is working to solve the case and bring the suspect to justice. They also emphasized that tips can be made anonymously.
