Miami residents can expect a mild and dry weekend following Friday's windy and cooler conditions. The National Weather Service forecasts sunny weather today with a high near 72°F and north winds that will gust up to 21 mph. Tonight, skies will be mostly clear with temperatures dropping to around 59°F.
NBC Miami reports a fire weather watch in effect from 10 a.m. until Friday evening due to elevated fire risks. Low humidity combined with north-northwest winds of 10-15 mph and gusts up to 25 mph will contribute to the conditions, leading to a cooler afternoon with highs in the mid-70s despite sunny weather.
The weekend will continue the mild trend. Saturday will be mostly sunny with a high near 76°F, and lighter winds will keep some haze in the atmosphere. By Sunday, conditions will become milder, with overnight lows in the mid-60s and highs approaching 80°F.
Looking ahead to next week, the National Weather Service predicts a 20% chance of showers by Tuesday afternoon, with mostly cloudy skies and highs around 82°F. This will precede a cold front expected to bring rain chances on Tuesday and Wednesday.
