The City of Miramar is preparing for the second annual Coffee, Chocolate & Culture Expo, set to run this Friday to Sunday. The event, organized by the Miramar Department of Economic Development and Housing, was inspired by discussions with delegates from Miramar’s sister city in Belize, focused on the cacao industry, according to NBC Miami.

The first day of the expo will feature a business workshop with a $50 entry fee. Industry leaders will discuss topics such as Women in Business, Building a Sustainable Brand, and Leveraging AI for Growth. The festival lineup also includes family-friendly entertainment like roller skating and a car show, NBC Miami reported. The workshop highlights Miramar’s commitment to supporting small business growth, offering insights into import-export, AI, and marketing strategies.

The festival aims to promote business networking and collaborations. Paul Njoroge, the event organizer, shared a past success story, "For example, one vendor who sold popcorn ended up with her product in a hotel by the end of the day," NBC Miami reported. The expo will feature companies from diverse locations such as Belize, El Salvador, Haiti, Cameroon, and South Africa.

The last two days of the expo will be free to attend, with cultural performances, live music, a fashion show, a barista and baking competition, and poetry reading.

Additional event details and ticket information for the business workshop are available on the City of Miramar Facebook page and the festival website at cocomiramarfl.org.
