The Murfreesboro Police Department is investigating a road rage incident between the drivers of a silver Honda Odyssey and a white Dodge Ram. As reported by WSMV, the dispute began on Tuesday and escalated on Wednesday morning when the Honda driver engaged in erratic behavior on Northwest Broad Street, including cutting off other drivers, using flashers, and brake-checking.

The situation worsened at a traffic light on Florence Road, where the Honda driver vandalized the Dodge Ram, smashing its taillight, windows, and mirror, before hitting the vehicle while attempting to flee. The Dodge driver retaliated by smashing the Honda's window, resulting in a hand injury, according to FOX17. About an hour later, the Honda Odyssey was found at TriStar Stone Crest Hospital in Smyrna, where the driver caused a disturbance and was arrested by Smyrna Police.

The Honda driver faces charges of aggravated assault and felony vandalism, with additional charges pending from the Smyrna Police Department. The Dodge driver may also face charges, depending on the investigation, as noted by WKRN.

MPD Sergeant Nathan Corwin cautioned that "road rage can easily cloud driver's judgment and results in reckless actions," in a WKRN report. "If you are involved in a road rage incident, try to ignore the other driver and let them safely pass," he added.
