Last night, an attempted traffic stop escalated into a chase and subsequent crash when a Cadillac sedan carrying multiple types of drugs and a firearm fled from detectives at Elm Hill and Donelson Pikes. The Nashville Police Department reported that the vehicle, equipped with a license plate registered to a Nissan Titan pickup truck, raised suspicion and prompted the intervention. After the Cadillac attempted to evade spike strips deployed by the detectives, it crashed into a drainage culvert and residential fence on Kings Lane.

Following the crash, the driver, identified as 27-year-old Jeremy Bowden, fled the scene but was quickly apprehended. David Kinnard, the 58-year-old passenger, complied with the arresting officers. Near the vehicle, police located a loaded handgun along with a handbag containing crystal meth, plastic pipes, and several small baggies laid outside the driver's door.

Further search inside the Cadillac revealed additional contraband, including a glass pipe, a scale, fentanyl, and more, as reported by the official Nashville Police Department’s newsroom. Both men were promptly arrested, and Bowden, with a prior conviction for aggravated robbery in 2019, now faces over a dozen charges related to drugs, traffic, and weapons. He is currently held on a $105,000 bond. Kinnard was charged with two counts of drug possession and is being held on a $4,000 bond.

Bowden, whose history with the legal system became more colourful after this latest incident, remains in custody. Charges against him encompass a spectrum of drug, traffic, and weapon offenses, reflecting a pattern of recklessness and disregard for the law. On the other hand, Kinnard's involvement resulted in lesser charges of drug possession, though he joins his associate behind bars, each awaiting the consequences of their actions from last night's escapade.
