Authorities are on the lookout for a gunman responsible for a recent heist at the Dollar Tree store on Robinson Road. The Nashville Police Department has confirmed that the robbery occurred shortly before the store's closing time at 8:50 p.m. on Monday. The perpetrator, wielding a firearm, coerced two female clerks into opening the cash registers before absconding with the money.
As detailed by the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department, investigators suspect the Dollar Tree store had been previously scoped out by the same individual on Tuesday last week, hinting at a premeditated criminal act. The suspect's description has been circulated: a Hispanic male, slender, sporting a black Jansport backpack. During the incident, he was clad in white tennis shoes, black Adidas pants, and a dark gray hoodie emblazoned with "Bears". Concealing his identity, he wore black gloves, a face mask, and what seemed, to be either a false orange beard or a fuzzy orange mask.
Members of the public who may recognize the man from the photos are encouraged to get in touch with Nashville Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463.
