Nashville residents who need to access historical records or veterans' services should be aware of upcoming closures at the Davidson County Register of Deeds. The office will be closed on Wednesday to Thursday next week and March 17-18 for Phase II of its renovation. This phase will introduce enhanced archival services, including microfilm, old index books, and self-service computer stations for research and title searches, as per the Davidson County Register of Deeds release.
The renovation, which will take place in the lower-level area, is aimed at improving customer service. A new Veterans ID booth will also be added, providing a safer way for veterans to access services without carrying original DD214 forms.
Free parking is available at both Deaderick Street and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard entrances.
For those needing services between closures, the office will be open on Friday next week and will resume regular hours starting March 19, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The renovation is expected to be completed by late April.
