An 18-year-old woman named Jazlynn Summers has been taken into custody on charges connected to a robbery-turned-homicide incident from November 2024 at William Pitts Park. Summers told Metro Nashville Police that she helped plan the robbery that led to the death of 23-year-old Mohamed Keita. Keita was found dead in the driver’s seat of his car, as reported by WSMV.
Detectives from the TITANS Unit conducted an investigation that led to the arrest of Summers in Clarksville. During questioning at police headquarters, Summers admitted to involvement in the case, according to FOX17. Summers stated during the interview that Keita was shot during the robbery. At the time of the fatal shooting, Summers was 17 years old.
Evidence from the scene confirmed that Keita was killed in a park, suffering multiple gunshot wounds in what appeared to be a robbery turned violent, as mentioned by WKRN. Summers has been detained and is awaiting a hearing in juvenile court, where the legal process will determine the next steps.
