New Orleans law enforcement is actively seeking a man connected to a violent incident in the Little Woods neighborhood, where he reportedly attempted to shoot a store clerk earlier today. According to WDSU, the New Orleans Police Department has requested the public's assistance to identify and find the individual in question.
The NOPD said the altercation took place at around 7:20 a.m., during which the suspect was alleged to have pulled a concealed handgun on the store employees. But due to a stroke of luck, or perhaps technological failure, the weapon did not discharge and the employees were left unharmed. "The suspect then exited the business and fled in an unknown direction," the NOPD described in a wanted bulletin, which was shared by FOX8Live.
Images and descriptions of the suspect have been circulated in hopes that someone will come forward with information vital to the investigation. The NOPD has not released details regarding what may have motivated the suspect's actions or whether he is believed to pose an ongoing threat to the public. The identity of the store clerk, who faced the barrel of a gun on an otherwise unremarkable morning, has also not been disclosed.
Authorities have encouraged anyone with information relating, to the case to contact them.
