The New Orleans Police Department is currently probing a homicide that unfolded in the 4200 Block of Royal Street within the Fifth District. The incident, which took place on Thursday, led to the uncovering of a 65-year-old man's body inside a residence by his friends who, after the grim discovery at approximately 5:27 p.m., made a 9-1-1 call initially thought to be a medical or unclassified death, as detailed in a brief by the New Orleans Police Department.
When New Orleans Police Department arrived, a call for medical help turned out to be a homicide. Detectives were quickly called to the scene, according to New Orleans Police Department News.
