
The New Orleans Police Department (NOPD) is seeking help from the public to identify a suspect involved in an auto theft that occurred last week. According to a report by NOPD News, a white 2024 Toyota Corolla with Texas plate TXX3428 was stolen on Monday night, around 9:30 p.m. in the 2800 block of Spain Street.
In a statement made by NOPD News, the suspect, described as a Black male, was last seen wearing a black ski mask, a white t-shirt underneath a black jacket adorned with white skulls, and additional white writing on the back. NOPD provided an image of the suspect, highlighting that the individual arrived at a local gas station in the stolen vehicle and attempted to use the victim's credit cards to purchase merchandise. The department has also confirmed that the suspect was armed with a black semi-automatic handgun at the time of the theft.
Warned by the circumstances of the crime, NOPD stresses the importance of any information that could lead to the suspect's identification and capture. Individuals with knowledge about the suspect's identity, his whereabouts, or any additional details regarding the theft are urged to contact Third District detectives at (504) 658-6030.
