Tragedy struck late Friday afternoon on South Kropf Road in Clackamas County when two vehicles collided, leading to the death of one driver and injuries for two others, according to the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office. A 2017 Chevrolet Suburban lay overturned in a ditch, its driver, a 37-year-old Woodburn woman, and her young son were already being attended to by first responders for what were later described as non-life-threatening injuries, the chaos that emanates from such accidents was palpable as firefighters and medical personnel worked tirelessly amid the mangled vehicles and the confused aftermath of the sudden vehicular violence.
