A tragic incident unfolded last night in Southeast Portland when a pedestrian was struck and killed by a motorcycle. The collision happened near the intersection of Southeast Powell Boulevard and Southeast 67th Avenue, as reported by OregonLive.
Responding to the accident just after 9 p.m., Portland police found the pedestrian deceased at the scene. The motorcyclist, who sustained non-life-threatening injuries, was transported to the hospital. The pedestrian's identity has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
This unfortunate event led to the closure of Southeast Powell Boulevard, from Southeast 66th Avenue to Southeast 70th Avenue, for the duration of the investigation, informed KPTV.
