An act of violence erupted in a Pembroke Park apartment complex. A domestic shooting incident resulted in the death of a woman and three children, with a man and another child hospitalized, as reported by Local 10 News.

According to CBS News Miami, the incident took place yesterday evening along the 3100 block of W Hallandale Beach Boulevard. Arriving officers found four individuals deceased: a woman, an infant, and two toddlers. The two survivors, a man and a juvenile female, were in critical condition at nearby hospitals. The Broward Sheriff’s Office stated that the man, who later was identified as the shooter, had attempted to take his own life after the killings.

Angel Aquino, a neighbor, told CBS News, "I just heard eight shots coming from the fourth floor, so I came outside. One of my neighbors told me a man tried to kill all of his family and then tried to kill himself."

The two hospitalized victims were transported to HCA Florida Aventura Hospital and Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital, respectively. The 10-year-old girl, in particular, was reported to have sustained life-threatening injuries. The Pembroke Park Police reassured the public that this was an isolated domestic situation, posing no further threat to the community's safety. The investigation is now being handled by the Broward Sheriff's Office Homicide Unit.
