Authorities in Pinecrest are asking the public to help find a man accused of assaulting a woman yesterday morning. The Pinecrest Police Department reported that around 7:30 a.m., in the 13000 block of Southwest 69th Court, a man on a bicycle approached the woman from behind and assaulted her. Described as tall with an unknown race, the man was wearing a black and white cap, blue jeans, a dark shirt, shoes, and carrying a purple shoulder bag. After the woman called for help, the suspect fled south on his bike, which was later found abandoned near Southwest 138th Street and 77th Avenue. Local 10 confirmed the victim was unharmed.
The Pinecrest Police Department has increased its presence in the area following the incident. Authorities believe the suspect might have a heavy build and could be Hispanic, as shared on the Village of Palmetto Bay's official Instagram.

We ask our residents, particularly those who are more vulnerable to these types of crime, to be aware of their surroundings at all times," as per the Village of Palmetto Bay's Instagram post.
