According to the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD), the closure will take place approximately 0.10 miles south of La. 3182 (Bayside Street) until Monday, March 24, at 5 p.m, barring any weather-related delays.
For those needing to navigate around the closure, a detour has been made available. Travelers should take La. 3182 (Bayside Street) southwest to La. 182 (Main Street), and then head southward to La. 671 (Lewis Street). DOTD has committed to installing detour signage, making the alternative route clear for all who pass.
Residents of the area have been asked to exercise patience and to drive cautiously. There will be work crews on-location, and the safety of both the workers and the public is a paramount concern.
