
Last Thursday, a woman was apprehended in Colma after reportedly shoplifting over $900 worth of merchandise from a local Target. The Colma Police Department, who reported the incident on their social media channels, disclosed that the theft occurred around 5:47 PM at the Target store on 5001 Junipero Serra Boulevard. According to the police, the suspect attempted to escape on foot through the parking lot swiftly.
Responding swiftly to the call, Colma officers tracked down a woman whose appearance was consistent with the description provided. Upon confrontation, the officers could positively identify her as the alleged thief. Initially, the woman tried to deceive the officers by giving them a false name but eventually relinquished her real identity. This led to her being summarily placed under arrest. The Colma Police Department later found that roughly $920.27 of goods had been stolen.
The accused, Geena Lazzerini, a 23-year-old from San Francisco, faces charges for the theft and for providing false information to the police. She was subsequently cited for these offenses and released under the condition that she would appear in court.
