Law enforcement agencies are ramping up efforts to locate a suspect linked to an attempted child abduction in the twin border cities of Hildale, Utah, and Colorado City, Arizona. They are appealing to the public for assistance. According to a report by ABC4, the police are searching for a light, metallic-colored Chrysler Town & Country van, model years between 2010 and 2016, or a similar vehicle in connection with yesterday's incident.
The child, fortunately, remains safe, and the details of the abduction attempt are still scarce, but the suspect remains at large. Seeking vital information, the Colorado City/Hildale Police provided a photo of the van believed to have been used in the attempt. On Wednesday at around 4:30 p.m., the abduction attempt was reported, as mentioned in a FOX13 article.
Authorities urge anyone who might have seen the van or has information regarding the case to come forward. "An officer will return your call as soon as possible," reads a joint statement from the police department. Anyone with possible leads should contact the Colorado City/Hildale Police at 928-875-9170 and quote case number 25HP0402, which is referenced in St. George Utah News.
