Luis Vargas, 24, is now accused of taking part in a violent encounter that left five people injured. The controversial incident, unfolded inside the Goldmore Food & Liquors when an argument between two groups spiraled into a shoot-out. CBS Chicago reports that the scene turned chaotic as a 21-year-old woman allegedly drew a firearm and commenced the shooting. The violence escalated rapidly after a man, now identified as Vargas, purportedly seized the gun and continued the assault on the crowd, culminating in numerous casualties.
Earlier, Angeles Flores, 22, had been charged with similar offenses stemming from her role in the incident, as documented by law enforcement authorities.
