A St. Lucie County man, Troy Selph, 58, is back in jail on child pornography charges just days after his initial arrest. He now faces 42 counts of possession of child pornography following a recent internet crime investigation, according to CBS12.
Selph was first arrested on Wednesday for failing to report a change of address as a registered sex offender. During a search of his home, detectives found troubling content on multiple electronic devices. Sheriff Richard Del Toro emphasized the county’s commitment to protecting children and holding offenders accountable.
After posting bond for the initial offense, an examination of the seized devices uncovered child pornography, leading to his re-arrest. He was apprehended near Okeechobee Road and I-95 by the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office Warrants Unit and the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force, two days after his first arrest.
Selph is facing charges for possessing ten or more images of child exploitation. He remains in custody at the St. Lucie County Jail with a bond set at $630,000, as reported by WPBF.
