Earlier today, Sudbury firefighters responded to a blaze at Lotus Blossom restaurant, a popular eatery located on Route 20. According to NBC Boston, fire alarms sounded around 12:45 a.m., leading emergency teams to the scene where they found smoke emanating from the building's rear.
The local fire department, led by Chief Timothy Choate, successfully subdued the fire which was discovered within the kitchen area, this information was obtained from a statement provided by the Sudbury Fire Department and reported by JGPR.net. Crews from Wayland and Framingham also lent support on scene, with Concord, Marlborough, and Maynard departments covering local stations, ensuring the fire was extinguished quickly with no reported injuries though the cause of the fire is still under investigation by both the Sudbury Fire Department and the State Police Fire & Explosion Investigation Unit attached to the State Fire Marshal’s office.
Due to the emergency response, a portion of Boston Post Road was closed, disrupting early morning traffic for a brief duration, as related by NBC Boston. The roadway was reinstated for public use after approximately an hour of firefighting efforts.
