Yesterday evening, a suspect was apprehended by officers from the District E-13 (Jamaica Plain), in connection with a breaking and entering incident. According to the Boston Police Department's official report, at around 6:41 p.m., the officers detained 42-year-old Michael Paul of Scituate, after they responded to a reported burglary at 72 Walnut Park.

The suspect allegedly entered an apartment through a rear door and left via the basement front door, with officers being told that, no personal items were taken from the premises. A description given to law enforcement officials enabled them to locate Paul at 2044 Columbus Avenue shortly after the break-in. During the arrest, they discovered a plastic bag containing what is believed to be drugs in his sock, as well as two glass pipes.

Paul is now facing several charges, including misdemeanor breaking and entering, trespassing, and possession of Class B drugs. His arraignment is scheduled to take place at Roxbury District Court. The Boston Police Department has not reported any additional details regarding the suspect’s motives or whether he has legal representation.
