A high-speed chase in Broward County ended in Opa-locka with two arrests after the suspects, involved in a theft of lawn equipment from a Davie home, attempted to outrun police. The pursuit began yesterday morning and ended near Northwest 22nd Avenue and Ali Baba Avenue in Opa-locka, according to Local 10.
The suspects are accused of stealing items from a residence near Southwest 20th Street and 151st Terrace, as per WSVN report. The chase crossed into Miami-Dade County, with deputies from the Broward Sheriff’s Office, and the Davie and Opa-locka police departments working together. The stolen vehicle, a blue sedan, was towed after the suspects were apprehended.
NBC Miami reports that after the suspects abandoned the vehicle, they were found and arrested. The Burglary Apprehension Team from the Broward Sheriff’s Office assisted in the operation.
The identities of the suspects and the specific charges have not been released.
