
Tragedy struck Chicago's North Lawndale neighborhood early Monday when police discovered a young male, thought to be a teenager, shot to death. According to information obtained by Chicago Sun-Times, the victim was found unresponsive around 2:10 a.m. on the ground with a gunshot wound to the head, in the 1500 block of South Kildare Avenue. Paramedics were requested, but the individual was pronounced dead at the scene by the Stroger Hospital.
No arrests have been made as Area 4 detectives continue to thoroughly investigate the incident. Details are scarce, and police have yet to release the identity of the young victim, or to determine an exact age.
