Carter is described as a Black male, standing 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing approximately 190 pounds, with brown eyes, gray hair, and a dark brown complexion; authorities have expressed concern for his well-being, noting that he may require medical attention.

Local community members and law enforcement have been canvassing the area since Carter's disappearance was reported, flyers have begun to pepper street poles and storefronts, bearing his image and description, with the hope that someone might recognize him and come forward with information.
