Utah County has recognized some of its most impactful citizens and organizations during the State of the County Address this year. The awards, celebrating local heroes that forge stronger communities, were handed out to individuals and groups acknowledged for their exceptional contribution to society. Among the honored was Wendy Osborne, who was named Person of the Year for her relentless effort to combat food insecurity through her non-profit, Tabitha's Way.

Osborne, alongside her husband Jody, has been a force of change since 2010, when they began their mission to ensure no one in Utah County goes hungry. Their nonprofit organization, recently expanding with a mobile pantry in 2024, has been pivotal in creating No Hunger Zones. "Wendy’s work goes beyond food relief—she builds strong partnerships and advocates for local businesses," as noted by Utah County.

The award for Business of the Year was given to Just Ingredients. Its founder, Karalynne Call, has successfully steered the company to become one of Utah's fastest-growing businesses. Call's commitment to clean and organic wellness and beauty products has resonated with a vast audience, as she continues to influence healthy lifestyles through her popular social media channels and podcast.

For their indispensable service in mental health and substance use care, Wasatch Behavioral Health was named Organization of the Year. Offering a range of critical support including six clinics and 18 specialty programs, they have faithfully served communities in Utah and Wasatch counties. According to Utah County, they provide "from crisis outreach to therapy, vocational training, and homeless support," ensuring individuals access to necessary care during pressing times.
