
A deadly fire broke out early Friday morning in a Waukegan home, tragically ending the life of a woman found inside. According to ABC7 Chicago, the Waukegan Fire Department was called to combat a blaze at a residence located in the 2300 block of Corona Road. Firefighters arrived on the scene to find a fierce inferno blazing at the front of the property.
The first responders were met with more than just flames as they tried to make their way into the burning building. Described as hoarding conditions, the clutter inside the home made it difficult to enter and conduct a thorough search. Despite the challenging circumstances, firefighters persevered to bring the fire under control within about 30 minutes, as reported by ABC7 Chicago.
Amidst the chaos, a somber discovery was made. A search through the home led to the sad finding of a woman who had succumbed to the flames. The identity of the deceased has not been revealed, and additional details surrounding the fatality are scarce at this time.
