The Arts4All Florida-Palm Beach County (A4AFL) launches its 28th annual Katie Gardner Memorial Golf Tournament. Scheduled for Friday, May 16, this event promises to bring together avid golfers and art supporters at Trump National Golf Club in Jupiter. As per an announcement made by Palm Beach County, the tournament stands in remembrance of the late Katie Gardner, a young A4AFL artist known for her sheer will and undeniable charm.
Giving a creative spin to the event, several A4AFL artists are set to continue a tradition Katie once took part in by designing the artwork for sponsors’ awards. In what aims to be a day filled with sportsmanship and compassion, the entry fee includes not just the usual greens fees, but also exclusive golf shirts and meals to keep the players fueled. An auction will accompany the tournament, with all proceeds channeling towards enabling visual and performing arts programs for individuals with disabilities across Palm Beach County.
The tournament's logistics appear to be in capable hands, with an organizing committee lined with notable names, including Bill Gardner, Brendan Gardner, and Stacy Staebell, among others. Leading the charge as this year's Chairpersons are Dr. Anthony Caruso and Kirk Stetson, as details obtained from the county's press release suggest.
With its inception in 1985, Arts4All Florida-Palm Beach County’s mission has consistently been to foster an inclusive society - one where people with disabilities can actively learn from, participate in, and fully enjoy the arts. More information on this event and the organization's ongoing efforts is available at their official website, encouraging anyone interested to get involved.
