The week dedicated to telecommunicators recognizes their important role in emergency response, which is often behind the scenes. "You may not always see us, but you hear us—on your worst days, in your most urgent moments, when seconds matter," the Bartlett Police Department noted. The dispatchers are responsible for handling critical situations, such as train collisions and stolen vehicles, by coordinating with various resources and closely monitoring traffic cameras to ensure public safety.
During this appreciation week, community members have recognized the role dispatchers play. This is reflected in the motto followed by Bartlett dispatchers: "Tell me your worst, and I'll send you my best," as stated in the department's post.
