A Boynton Beach man has been arrested for possession of child pornography following an investigation that stemmed from a cyber tip. The suspect, Max Davidson, was found with explicit material involving minors, according to CBS12.
The Boynton Beach Police Department started looking into Davidson back in November 2024 after the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children alerted them to materials uploaded to the Kik Messenger app. A search warrant was executed at Davidson's home, where detectives uncovered a combination of 24 images and videos depicting child sexual abuse. The investigation also revealed incriminating messages exchanged between Davidson and 12-year-old girl, wherein Davidson requested sexually explicit content, as reported by WPBF.
This case is not Davidson's first brush with the law; the police had previously investigated a report concerning an explicit photo of a five-year-old girl shared on Snapchat. That incident, which occurred in March 2024, did not lead to charges due to insufficient evidence.
Following the confession of his long-standing addiction to pornography since his teenage years, detectives searched Davidson's phone and discovered an additional 80 explicit photos and videos of child porn. This discovery led to Davidson's arrest on counts of possession of child pornography of 10 or more images and one felony count of child pornography/solicitation of a child unlawful conduct. He is currently being held in Palm Beach County Jail. Both CBS12 and WPBF provided details on the arrest.
