The Broward County Sheriff's Office has begun an investigation following the discovery of a man's body in a canal in Tamarac today. As reported by Local10, the body was found near the 5700 block of Hampton Hills Boulevard, prompting law enforcement to initiate a recovery operation.
A team of divers managed to carefully lift the body from the canal and into a yellow body bag. The Broward Sheriff's Office is thoroughly working to not only determine how the man ended up in the water but also to ascertain his identity and age, which have yet to be released.
In a separate report by NBC Miami, the identity of the deceased male and the cause of death have not been revealed.
