In an announcement posted yesterday, the county has let it known that the online system that manages Building Codes, Septic, and Development Engineering services will be temporarily unavailable starting 8 a.m., Tuesday, April 22, and will be back online by 8 a.m., Thursday, April 24.
During the scheduled downtime, several online services are going to be inaccessible. If you plan to submit applications, review ongoing projects, pay those pending permit fees, access approved plans, or purchase trade permits online, you'll need to adjust your plans temporarily. However, there is a silver lining for those who can't completely pause their work: trade permits can still be purchased in person or by email.
This temporary service interruption is to make necessary changes to the system aimed at boosting efficiency. A statement by Clackamas County explained, "The downtime is required for needed changes to the system to increase the efficiency of our service to the public." And while digital access will be on hold, the county assures that all will be operational and presumably more streamlined by the morning of April 24.
