Residents of Clayton County and surrounding areas are invited to join a critical conversation on road safety this upcoming weekend. The Clayton County Youth Commission, in collaboration with the Clayton County Health District, will host an Alcohol & Safe Driving Awareness Event aimed at educating the community on the risks of drinking and driving. According to the event details released on the Clayton County website, attendees can expect to engage in hands-on simulations to better understand the dangers of impaired driving.
The importance of fully recognizing the potential consequences of getting behind the wheel after consuming alcohol is at the core of this initiative. Scheduled for Saturday, April 26, the event runs from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Clayton County Health District's parking lot on 1117 Battlecreek Road, Jonesboro, GA.
The event is not only educational, but it also promises to be interactive, with resources, education, and even giveaways. As reported by the Clayton County website, this free event is designed to deliver a sobering message through experiential learning tools.
