The Fairview Budget Committee is gearing up for a series of critical meetings in the coming weeks, where they will discuss and deliberate on the fiscal roadmap for the city's years ahead. According to a civic alert posted on the City of Fairview's official website, the organization will first meet on May 5 to receive the proposed budgets for the fiscal year 2025-26 for both the City of Fairview and the Fairview Urban Renewal Agency (URA).
The meeting on the budget for the City is scheduled for 6 p.m., and the URA's proceedings will follow at 7:30 p.m. Then, continuing the financial dialogue, on May 12, the Budget Committee will reconvene for additional budgetary discussions and where the public can express their concerns or support. While the City's budget deliberations are set for a 6 p.m. start, those eager to weigh in on URA's finances will have to wait until 8:30 p.m.
For residents who are unable to attend in person or wish to review the proposals in advance, the proposed budgets will become available online from May 6. Information about the meetings, including how to access documents and where to submit public comments, can be found on the city's website. Alternatively, the City Recorder's office can be reached at 503-674-6224 for those who prefer to make inquiries over the phone.
