Residents of Farragut and nearby communities are invited to visit the newly renovated Farragut Town Hall at 11408 Municipal Center Drive during an open house on April 14 from 4-6 p.m. As announced by the Town of Farragut, attendees will have the opportunity to tour the updated facilities, view interior offices, and see the Farragut Museum, though some exhibits are still in progress.
The open house will feature staff-led tours of the newly renovated facilities, marking the first major update to the building since its opening in 1991. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore the space, ask questions, and learn more about the town's operations. The renovations, as stated by the Town of Farragut, were funded by the American Rescue Plan Act and began in January 2024.
The grand re-opening of Town Hall is scheduled for April 21, a date which also sees the return of the Farragut branch of the Knox County Clerk’s and Trustee’s Office, now located on the first floor. The reopening is expected to improve services for residents by centralizing key functions in an accessible location within the community's civic infrastructure.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for 5 p.m. on April 24, just before the first Board of Mayor and Aldermen meeting at the newly reopened Town Hall, following its temporary relocation to the Farragut Community Center last year. The event marks the return of municipal operations to the original venue and the end of the interim period, during which the town adapted to its temporary location since January 2024.
