Former Miami-Dade HOA President Charged with Embezzling Over $15K from Condo Association

Roberto Montalvo Jr., a 64-year-old former HOA president in Miami-Dade, was arrested on allegations of embezzling over $15,000 from his condominium association. Montalvo, who oversaw the Ro Mont South Condominium on Northeast 2nd Avenue, is said to have misappropriated association funds for personal advantage, specifically using $3,150 to finance plumbing work in his sister's unit and personally cashing checks totaling $12,400, according to the NBC Miami report.

Sheriff Rosie Cordero-Stutz, was quoted saying, "HOA presidents are entrusted to serve their communities with honesty and integrity.
