The Hollywood Beach Theatre is now hosting free live music five nights a week. Located on the Broadwalk at Johnson Street, the outdoor venue features performances from Wednesday to Sunday, 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visitors can enjoy the shows with ocean views, presented by the Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort.
The April and May lineups are a genre-blending mix, featuring bands like Shaw Davis & The Black Ties with their hard blues rock and Navy Rock Band's mix of rock and Latin. Notably, the Valerie Tyson Band is set to bring soul, R&B, and blues to the stage not just once, but twice within a month, according to the city of Hollywood's official announcement. And, for those who missed it, Mark Telesca will round out the April tunes with his blues on the 30th.
May's schedule is just as diverse, kicking off with the Stone Lace Band's classic rock renditions on May 1. Mid-month, Pump promises to deliver rock and more. Toward the end of the month, locals can look forward to the soulful Valerie Tyson Band once again bringing R&B, blues, and funk to the Hollywood Beach Theatre on May 24. Catch country western artist Ricky Valido or enjoy classic rock hits with Groove 2.0. "All performances are free and open to the public," as noted by the same release.
