The Fulton County Board of Commissioners is set to convene for their second routine meeting of the month on Wednesday, taking place in the Assembly Hall at the Fulton County Government Center, according to an announcement on the county's official website. On the agenda for this Wednesday session, commissioners are slated to receive briefings from the heads of multiple departments, including Elections, Public Works, Information Technology, and Finance. The meeting, which occurs at the central location of 141 Pryor Street, NW, Atlanta, GA 30303, is open to the public and will also be broadcast live on Fulton County Government Television.
As an additional highlight, the Board will formally recognize the Holy Innocents Varsity Boys and Girls Basketball teams, honoring their championship victories with a dedicated proclamation. Members of the public looking to actively participate in the meeting can choose to do so in person, virtually via Zoom, or by submitting written comments via email. To virtually attend, residents need to register in advance using the provided Zoom link. The passcode required to join the webinar is 438856, which allows interested parties to seamlessly tune into the proceedings.
According to the Fulton County's official notice, those wishing to contribute public comments have until the start of the 10 a.m. meeting to submit their remarks—if they plan to do so in person or virtually. Reflecting on previous procedural changes, the announcement remembers that, as of January 16, 2024, written email comments must now be received by the close of business the Monday before the scheduled meeting. This allows the Board to review the comments by the following Tuesday, although these will no longer be orally read during the sessions.
Residents interested in putting forward written comments for the upcoming Board of Commissioners meeting should direct their emails to [email protected].
